Bury-born Gemma was a contestant on the BBC One dance show, partnered with Gorka's co-star and pal Aljaž Škorjanec, while Gorka competed against them with celebrity partner, singer Alexandra Burke.
Both pairings made it to the final but the series was eventually won by actor Joe McFadden and pro partner Katya Jones. And while neither of them lifted the Glitterball, they instead got more than they expected as love blossomed between the pair when they both headed on the Strictly Live tour in early 2018.
