Choosing the best breakfast can be difficult as there are so many different options - from a traditional fry-up, to scrambled eggs on toast and various types of omelettes. One thing many brilliant breakfast dishes have in common are eggs - a tasty and filling food - that can also be a difficult thing to perfect, reports the Mirror. Many people will want a nice, runny yolk so they can dip their toast into a boiled egg - but overcooking the egg even slightly can leave you with a rubbery taste in your mouth. However, world-famous chef Gordon Ramsay had come to the rescue with his top tips on how you can get the "perfect yolk" every time you cook a boiled egg.Yet, some serious foodies and social media users aren't entirely convinced by his methods. In a video posted on TikTok, Gordon was boiling an egg to go atop a ramen dish - but these steps can also be applied when boiling your eggs for your morning meal.Gordon set a timer of six minutes for the eggs and said: "Get them onto a spoon and drop them into the water."Bring that [the water] to the boil, but don't water them ferociously, or you'll get a black line around the outside, boil them gently."After the six minutes were up, Gordon took the eggs out of the pot and stuck them into cold water to make the peeling process easier. Before he peeled them, however, the Scots chef cracked the eggs gently and placed them back into the cold water. He explained: "Get the base and crack it, then put it into the water."And in the strangest part of the cooking process, the TV chef also blew on the bottom of the egg where it had been cracked in order to make the shell "come off super quick".
