Susanna Reid pulled out of Good Morning Britain at the last minute on Tuesday morning, 3 September. While Ed Balls was back hosting the ITV breakfast show, Susanna had been replaced by Ranvir Singh, who explained her co-star's absence.

She said: "If you're wondering where Susanna is, one of her boys has been taken ill overnight and she needed to stay with him, so we are here for you this morning." Susanna, 53, had only returned to the ITV morning show yesterday after her summer break.

She shares three three sons, Sam, Finn and Jack with her ex-husband Dominic Cotton. Speaking before her ITV return, Susanna revealed: "I love doing my job - the news agenda has been so busy and I have been avidly watching GMB while I have been off." She also revealed that she spent her summer break in Ibiza with her sons as she shared: "I have been going for 10 years and it was amazing to really enjoy it with my boys now they are old enough to go clubbing.

We go to the day clubs together and then I go back to the hotel and they go to the nightclubs!" Despite enjoying her time off, she isn't concerned about early alarms.
