Giakoumakis is under contract until 2026 and is hot property after 25 goals in his first 50 games for Celtic, but has been a peripheral figure at times under Ange Postecoglou.

Giakoumakis entered the fray after 82 minutes against the Lions and appeared to reference this on social media, by sharing a picture of him replacing his Japanese teammate captioned with an hourglass emoji to Instagram.Giakoumakis has scored eight goals in 23 appearances this season, although he has started just seven games, and supporters on social media reckon the striker's frustrations are referenced in the post.
