Ginger Zee's TV personality husband, Ben Aaron, took to Instagram with an emotional message this week after his friend, Kyle Jacobs, died by apparent suicide.

Kyle - who was married to American Idol alum, Kellie Pickler - formed a friendship with the late songwriter when he worked with Kellie.

Ben's lengthy tribute to Kyle left his social media followers stunned. Alongside a photo of himself with Ginger, Kellie and Kyle, he wrote: "I never had a lot of guy friends because I was never a typical guy.

Singer Kellie Pickler's husband Kyle Jacobs has died by suicide at the couple's Nashville home, police in the area have confirmed. A spokesperson for the Nashville Police Department said: "Officers and Nashville Fire Department personnel responded and located resident Kyle Jacobs, 49, deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in an upstairs bedroom/office." The cops revealed that Kellie had been sleeping at the time but woke up just a short time before the incident, but was unable to find her husband.The singer and her assistant then contacted emergency services after they were unable to open a locked bedroom door. According to the Nashville Police Department, the death is being investigated as an apparent suicide. The police would not disclose the identity of the male. Pickler lives at the home with her husband, songwriter Kyle Jacobs. Jacobs and Pickler eloped in 2011. In 2015, they starred in a CMT reality show about their relationship, titled “I Love Kellie Pickler.” Pickler finished in sixth place on “American Idol” in 2010, and went on to release four albums.During his career as a songwriter, Jacobs co-wrote Garth Brooks’ No. 1 song “More Than a Memory” as well as Tim McGraw’s “Still” and also collaborated with Pickler, Tim McGraw, Kelly Clarkson, Scotty McCreery and Darius Rucker.
