Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.

The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

California Governor Gavin Newsom said that plans are still in the works for a debate with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, but he told Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd that arrangements hit a snag over a “venue issue.” “They wanted thousands of people and make it a performance.

I wasn’t interested in that. We were pretty clear on that. And so I think we’re getting closer,” Newsom said. Newsom and DeSantis agreed in early August to debate, but the sides have disagreed over the details.

Sean Hannity was to have moderated the event on Fox News. On Meet the Press interview, Todd asked Newsom whether he was “still okay” with Hannity as moderator. “Well, I mean, it’s two against one,” Newsom said.

Then he elaborated. “Bring it on. … It goes to the point about rural California, goes to about red states, blue states. … I go out there on this PAC and to these red states, I’m making a point.
