Foreign Office's urgent travel advice for Dubai, Morocco and more for UK holidaymakers
dailyrecord.co.ukUK residents with plans to head to Dubai are being urged to stay vigilant, following a fresh warning from the Foreign Office.The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has updated its travel advice for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), after Iranian military activity against Israel this past weekend.
On Saturday, Iran launched an offensive attack launching over 300 drones and missiles, which lasted early into Sunday morning.This has prompted a slew of warnings to surrounding countries by the government organisation which provides advice about risks of travel to help British nationals make informed decisions.
As well as the popular holiday destination, the UAE also includes Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al-Quwain, and Fujairah.British nationals with plans to visit any of these areas should continue to monitor news and FCDO updates for any changes to fast changing events.
As well as the FCDO website, people can follow its affiliated social media accounts which also regularly share new information.Other countries which have also been issued similar warnings include Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Bahrain, Kuwait, Libya, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Oman and Lebanon.In a statement update on Sunday, the FCDO said: "On April 13 2024 Iran carried out military action against Israel.
