Police 'do not approach' 999 alert issued as hunt for man who absconded from secure unit continues
manchestereveningnews.co.ukPolice have issued a 'do not approach' warning to the public over a man who has absconded from a secure unit. A police manhunt is underway to find Shaun Paul Smith after he absconded during a visit to Preston from a secure unit on Thursday (April 25).
Members of the public have been urged not to approach Shaun Paul Smith. Instead, those who see him have been asked to call 999 immediately.
Today (April 27) police have released new CCTV footage of the 60-year-old in the hope of locating him. READ MORE: The rise of Eastlands - from 'barren wasteland' to Manchester powerhouse According to Lancashire Constabulary, Smith also goes by the name Aemon Martin.
He was last seen near the toilets on the ground floor of the Fishergate shopping centre in Preston at about 1pm on Thursday.
