Emmerdale star Michael Parr has spilled the beans about his much-anticipated comeback to the role of Ross Barton on the popular ITV show, after a six-year absence from the fictional Yorkshire village.
In the gripping unlicensed boxing match during Monday's (October 28) instalment, Ross was unexpectedly disclosed as Billy Fletcher's (played by Jay Kontzle) adversary in the ring.
While long-time watchers are clued-up that Billy, wedded to Dawn Taylor (portrayed by Olivia Bromley), has been keeping his illicit pugilistic pursuits from his partner to rake in some swift cash for their family unit.
Despite earnest entreaties to withdraw from the fray by his mates Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), a dogged Billy maintains he has no alternative but to push on with the bout, oblivious that he's up against the former amour of Mackenzie's other half, Charity Dingle (acted by Emma Barton).
