Eight-person HMO plan for former ‘traditional local pub’ building

A developer intends to convert a former community pub into a house of multiple occupation. The vacant Spread Eagle pub on Manchester Road, Kearsley is the subject of a planning application to create an eight-person house of multiple occupancy.

The pub, which prior to closure was described as ‘a traditional local pub in the heart of Kearsley’, closed its doors after the pandemic.

Applicant Connor Investment Group Ltd has submitted plans to Bolton Council in the past week which include details of the planned conversion.
