Nigel Harman has been announced as the 13th celebrity contestant hoping to take home the glitterball trophy in the brand new series of Strictly Come Dancing - which will be kicking off in just a few weeks' time.

The former EastEnders actor was announced as the newest celeb joining the show's star-studded lineup during this morning's Lorraine, telling host Christine Lampard that his dancing skills may leave something to be desired, quipping that he thinks he's a good dancer in his head but his body doesn't agree.

Discussing his upcoming appearance on the show, he said: "I'm amazed, excited, and terrified to be doing Strictly. As an armchair fan of the show I have watched in awe as people have twirled and gyrated across the screen.

And now it's my turn.....gulp!" Nigel began his acting career when he was just eight years old, and has appeared in a number of popular TV shows, including Eastenders, Casualty, and Downton Abbey.

NBCU Taps iHeartMedia as Paris Olympics Exclusive Audio Partner
Todd Spangler NY Digital Editor NBCUniversal inked a deal with iHeartMedia making it the exclusive audio partner for the Olympic Games Paris 2024. Under the agreement, iHeart will provide 24-7 play-by-play audio channels for select NBCU linear coverage of the Olympic Games.
