Jaden Thompson Seven Bucks Productions, founded by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, has tapped Scott Landsman and Melissa Fried as head of television and VP of film development and production, respectively.
These appointments come along as the multi-platform production company works to expand its film and television slate, following the success of the “Jumanji” franchise, “Hobbs and Shaw” and other titles produced under its banner.
Landsman previously served as senior vice president of comedy development for Sony Pictures Television, overseeing development for various titles including “The Afterparty” on Apple TV+, “Twisted Metal” on Peacock, “Woke” on Hulu and Netflix’s “Good Times.” Fried was most recently at Verve, where she was appointed to the Motion Picture Literary team; this elevation made her the first internally promoted female agent at Verve.
She is known for championing female creators and fostering the careers of women like Jac Schaeffer (“Wandavision”), Meg LeFauve (“Inside Out”) and Allison Schroeder (“Hidden Figures”), among many others.
