A driver who lost control of his car at roadworks caused a head-on crash in which he and another motorist were badly injured.Hamilton Sheriff Court heard that Sean Devonshire suffered a fracture to his lower spine and had to wear a back brace for several months.

The other driver had a broken breastbone and bruising. He was in hospital for more than two weeks while his female passenger sustained bruising.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
