A rescue dog who walked ten miles back to her shelter rang the doorbell to tell officials she had returned. The pup ditched her new owners after being adopted in January this year.Bailey, who spent years living at the shelter ran by the Animal Rescue League in El Paso, Texas was taken in by a loving family who were said to have instantly taken to their new pet, reports the Mirror. But the dog sparked panic in her new home after going missing, eventually turning up ten miles away back at the shelter.

An appeal was launched on social media to find Bailey on January 30 by the rescue centre but all was well less than 24 hours later. That was after the dog rang the doorbell and was spotted on the rescue centre's CCTV in an update that eased fears over Bailey. They posted: "Bailey is now safe.

To all those who searched, spotted, called, hoped - we thank you."As we know, dogs are incredible. Bailey made her own way back to ARL and rang our ring doorbell at 1:15am saying she wanted in.

Staff rushed to the shelter and put Bailey in her run. She was very happy, and we were too. Thank you."This girl is amazing.
