Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.

The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

DNC 2024 Night One Ratings Beat RNC by 6% Amid Trump's 'Obsession' Over Beating Harris' Viewership

It’s no secret that Donald Trump has an obsession with TV ratings and he’s likely going to be unhappy when he sees the ratings for the Democratic National Convention.

The 2024 DNC began on Monday (August 19) and the first night topped the ratings of the RNC’s first night this year. Keep reading to find out more… TVLine reports that 20.03 million people tuned in for night one of the DNC while the first night of the RNC was watched by 18.1 million people.

The fourth and final night of the RNC, featuring Trump‘s speech, was viewed by an average of 25.4 million people and peaked with 28.4 million viewers.

We’ll have to wait and see how many people tune in for Kamala Harris‘ speech on Thursday! Rolling Stone reported this week that in private moments, Trump has “been sure to stress that the viewership he pulled for his televised acceptance speech on the final night of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee last month was ‘tremendous,’ and that he feels it is unlikely Vice President Harris will be able to top his numbers on the evening she gives her big speech.” Some reports online have stated that Trump is “obsessed” with the ratings.
