Disney Exec & Film's Director Reveal Why the 'Moana' TV Series Was Made Into a Sequel Movie Instead

Moana is returning for another adventure in the upcoming sequel Moana 2! While Disney will be launching a new movie, it was actually supposed to be a TV series for Disney+.

In a new interview, Walt Disney Animation’s Chief Creative Officer Jennifer Lee and one of the directors of Moana 2, David Derrick Jr, are revealing why the story was shifted from a show to a movie.
