Community group Coffee, Chat and Company tackles loneliness and raised funds for pub defibrillator

The Greenhills community will benefit from a lifesaving defibrillator thanks to a group of local ladies.Following the Covid pandemic, Lorraine Young, Karen Lynch, Lisa Irvine and Cathy Robertson started community group Coffee, Chat and Company in the hope of providing a support hub for lonely and elderly folk in Greenhills.As well as offering a safe space to socialise in the function suite of the Greenhills Bar, they organise trips, quizzes, games, charity nights and seasonal lunches.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
