Only after the Supreme Court overturned in June 2022 did she realize that she'd technically had an abortion. “Let’s just call it what it was: It was an abortion,” Teigen said. “An abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance.

And to be honest, I never, ever put that together until, actually, a few months ago.”According to THR, Teigen said it was actually Legend who helped her understand that she had had an abortion.

The two had been discussing her feelings of sympathy for pregnant people who were forced to make the decision to end a pregnancy when faced with the realization that the life of pregnant person and/or child was at risk.“I fell silent, feeling weird that I hadn’t made sense of it that way,” Teigen shared. “I told the world we had a miscarriage, the world agreed we had a miscarriage, all the headlines said it was a miscarriage.
