Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known professionally as Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter, and television judge. After singing in church during her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager.
Perry signed with Red Hill Records and released her debut studio album Katy Hudson under her birth name in 2001, which was commercially unsuccessful. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations and she subsequently began working with producers Glen Ballard, Dr. Luke, and Max Martin.
After adopting the stage name Katy Perry and being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, she signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly looking for a new home in a private Californian community, just a couple of years after their move to the US.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are keen to move to the Hope Ranch community, a coastal suburb of Santa Barbara, California, because their $14 million mansion in Montecito "does not properly accommodate them," according to reports.
When Meghan gave an interview with The Cut earlier this year, the reporter described their Montecito mansion as "startlingly big" but it seems the couple apparently aren't totally content in the property.
Hope Ranch homes can cost as much as $22 million according to a Santa Barbara News Press report. The community has a range of facilities including a country club, golf course and club, and a tennis court - as well as a strong equestrian community with 27 miles of riding trails.
The Daily Mail cites a News-Press claiming Harry and Meghan may have already bought a property in the community, but this has not been confirmed.
