ITV 's Good Morning Britain today was dedicated to The Queen's funeral with the event beginning at 8am when Westminster Abbey opens its doors to allow guests to enter the famous space and take their seats.
Members of the Royal household have been preparing for this moment especially those involved in the military uniforms worn by the many officers involved today.
Speaking to GMB, Corporal William Morrison, the Master Tailor said: "It's been quite exciting but also an honour and a privilege to be making sure everyone looks their best." He added: "It's been a hectic 10 days with a lot of sore fingers and a lot of late nights but we're there." Everything has to be just right for the event today and it's all in the detail.
Showing the aglets, which are worn on the shoulders of the riders, he explained how they must be tied exactly right and noted that it's the sort of thing The Queen would have spotted: "There's a unique way that each regiment does it." He continued: "Blues and Royals have it looped over and the Lifeguards have it looped behind.
