Chris Hemsworth

Christopher Hemsworth (born 11 August 1983) is an Australian actor. He rose to prominence playing Kim Hyde in the Australian TV series Home and Away (2004–07) before beginning a film career in Hollywood by taking on parts in the science fiction film Star Trek (2009) and the thriller A Perfect Getaway (2009).

Hemsworth went on to star in the fantasy film Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), the war film Red Dawn (2012), the action thriller Blackhat (2015), the biographical thriller In the Heart of the Sea (2015), the comedy Ghostbusters (2016), and the Men in Black film series spin-off Men in Black: International (2019). His most critically acclaimed roles include the comedy horror The Cabin in the Woods (2012) and the biographical sports film Rush (2013), in which he portrayed James Hunt.

EXCLUSIVE: Chris Hemsworth is in talks to star in Paramount Pictures’ untitled Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover movie, Deadline has learned, based on the line of Hasbro toys.

Upon finaling the deal, this will put the Melrose Ave. lot back in business with Hemsworth who is already starring in Paramount Animation/Hasbro’s Transformers One which hits theaters on Sept.

20, 2024. That movie was one of the highest tested Paramount Animation titles ever. The seeds were planted for a crossover movie between the two mega 1980s Hasbro brands at in the epilogue of Steven Caple Jr.’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts last summer, a sequel which revived the robots in disguise on the big screen with a $439M — more than Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny‘s $384M worldwide take.

In fact, G.I. Joe and Transformers intermingled in famed Marvel comic book back in the 1980s. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian, Michael Bay, Tom DeSanto & Don Murphy are producing.
