hollywoodreporter.comBig Little Lies star Chris Backus, Luna Lauren Velez, and Holly Taylor are set to appear opposite Tyrese Gibson, John Malkovich and Michael Jai White in director Jon Keeyes’ new action thriller Red 48 for Yale Productions.
Gibson will play Kyle Snowden, a troubled former Marine turned child protective service officer who must save an immigrant child from a dangerous criminal (Backus) who has trapped them and other hostages inside a convenience store owned by the Snowden's stepfather, played by Malkovich.
Backus is also known for roles in Jett on Cinemax and Mindhunter on Netflix. Velez played Detective Maria LaGuerta in Showtime’s Dexter, while Taylor appeared as Paige Jennings in FX's The Americans.
