Celebrated playwright Tina Howe has sadly passed away at the age of 85 on Monday (August 24). The creative, who was a two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist, has written beloved projects such as Painting Churches and Coastal Disturbances, the latter of which earned her a nomination for Best Play at the Tony Awards in 1987.
Her agent Patrick Herold confirmed the sad news of her passing, revealing what led to her death. Keep reading to find out more… Deadline reported that Tina‘s passing was of natural causes.
Prior to her death, she was dealing with an illness after fracturing her hip. Tina leaves behind two children, three grandchildren and a multitude of creative works that are a testament to her creative legacy.
She continued to release new projects through this year when she unveiled her final collection Where Women Go. Our thoughts go out to everyone who knew and loved Tina at this difficult time.
