Calderwood Primary win iconic Rutherglen Landemer Cup before 50th anniversary

Calderwood Primary secured glory in the Rutherglen Landemer Cup on Friday, which had been revived to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Landemer Day.All 10 local primary schools were invited to take part in the legendary Rutherglen football tournament, with seven taking up the option to compete at Fernhill Community Centre.The nine-a-side final was contested by coach Mark Preiss’ Calderwood team of Cody, Elijah, Harley, Ihnat, Joshua, Kyle, Leon G, Leon KG, Logan, Mason, Matthew and Taylor, and Holly Fillingham’s Bankhead Primary team of Aaron, Enoch, Harry, Josh, Jude, Kian, Liam, Lewis, Max and Ross.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
