By-election date confirmed in North Lanarkshire after disgraced councillor quit

The date for a council by-election in North Lanarkshire which will be held after a disgraced councillor quit has been confirmed.

One councillor will be elected for the Bellshill ward following the resignation of Councillor Jordan Linden. Voting will take place between 7am and 10pm on June 15.

To be able to vote in this by-election, eligible residents must be registered to vote by midnight on Tuesday, May 30.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
