Buddies lockdown bingo raises thousands for hospices

Join thousands of others who have signed up for the Daily Record newsletter.Kind-hearted Buddies have raised more than £3,000 playing street bingo during lockdown.More than 100 residents in Ralston’s Roffey Park took part in the last bingo session on Thursday when they raised a toast to the £3, 250 raised for Accord and Prince and Princess of Wales hospices.The bingo, which has run weekly since April, was organised by Tracy Coyle, Helen Irvine and Karen Macpherson with the support of their neighbours.The women, who were keen to support those living alone in their community during the UK-wide lockdown, used the event to help people socialise from the comfort of their own doorsteps.And to help everyone get into the spirit, the trio decorated.
