Brits are being warned to not sign up for a new mobile phone contact until next week. It comes as most major telecom providers are set to implement price rises linked to inflation in April.
The rate is based on December's inflation figure which will be announced by the Office for National Statistics next Wednesday (January 17).
The price hikes will also affect those who are already signed up to a contract - a move that is been frequently criticised. Industry regulator Ofcom has previously proposed banning mid-contract price rises, although any resolution from this won't happen before April the Mirror reports.
