“Succession” star plays the “tormenter” once again in a new reality competition series inspired by James Bond, titled “007’s Road to a Million,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.“I got to see how ordinary people would cope with being on a James Bond adventure,” Cox, 76, said about his new role, according to the outlet.

Cox will host as “The Controller” – AKA the emcee – and the one who decides the future of contestants on the new Amazon Studios game show. The series features two-person teams competing to win $1.2 million, shot in locations that are relevant to James Bond, such as the Scottish Highlands, Jamaica and Venice, Italy. “As they travel the world to some of the most iconic Bond locations, it gets more intense and nail-biting,” Cox continued. “I enjoyed my role as both villain and tormentor, with license to put the hopeful participants through the mangle.”The Post reached out to reps for Cox for further comment. The show will launch in late 2023 on Amazon’s Prime Video in collaboration with the James Bond franchise producers, EON Productions.Cox is currently starring — or (spoiler alert!) very recently starred – in the fourth and final season of the HBO hit drama, “Succession.”The Scottish actor played Logan Roy, the irascible patriarch of a global media dynasty whose children compete to take over the family business. The series is so popular that Roy’s death in the third episode of the season was memorialized with a real-life obituary in the Los Angeles Times the day after it aired. While speaking to Entertainment Tonight last month, Cox agreed with series’ creator and showrunner, Jesse Armstrong, that now is the right time for the Roy family’s story to come to a close.“I think we’ve, you know, got to the point.
