Paul Simon is sharing some sad news with fans. Keep reading to find out more… In a new interview with UK’s The Times, Paul said that he started losing the hearing in his ear while working on the album. “Quite suddenly, I lost most of the hearing in my left ear, and nobody has an explanation for it,” Paul shared. “So everything became more difficult.” Paul said that he was more frustrated and annoyed than angered by the hearing loss because he “thought it would pass, it would repair itself.” However, the condition has not improved and Paul now doubts he’ll be able to perform live again, adding that he doesn’t have the enthusiasm anymore to sing some of his old songs. “The songs of mine that I don’t want to sing live, I don’t sing them,” Paul explained. “Sometimes there are songs that I like and then at a certain point in a tour, I’ll say, ‘What the f–k are you doing, Paul?’ Quite often that would come during ‘You Can Call Me Al.’ I’d think, ‘What are you doing?

You’re like a Paul Simon cover band. You should get off the road, go home.’” You can stream Paul Simon‘s new album Seven Psalms below.
