The Treble winners revealed the 50-year-old would conduct a press conference at Celtic Park “later this week” as they announced him as manager.
And Record Sport can now reveal that will take place on Friday.Rodgers has been enjoying some down time at the family holiday home in Majorca but he will be back enjoying the familiar surroundings of his old stomping ground when he walks back through the front doors at Parkhead for the first time as manager since his shock departure four years ago.
And the manner of him leaving the Hoops for Leicester City in February 2019 is sure to feature heavily on the agenda when he takes his place in the media room as some supporters still haven’t forgiven him for walking out for the Foxes mid-season.Rodgers will attempt to explain that decision as he looks to win back any fans who were against his return.
