A 14-year-old boy has admitted kicking a vape shop front during large-scale disorder in Manchester city centre. The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was one of many caught on camera booting the front door of the shop on Moseley Street on August 3.

His case was adjourned to September 9 to allow for the preparation of presentence reports. Prosecuting, Ewan Cooper said that on August 3 there were ‘large-scale protests’ in Manchester city centre.
A group, including the youth, were seen walking down Moseley Street. “Some members of the group went into Sainsburys, it is not suggested that he did so,” he said. “The vape shop next door, he was seen, with clothes, kicking the shop front.
