The double-whammy success of Barbie and Oppenheimer – released on the same day July 21 – has propelled the UK box office to a height not seen since December 2019.

As of this week, Barbie is the hottest movie of the year, and it’s amassed rave reviews.

The cast of Barbie experienced life in plastic while filming what is shaping up to be one of the year’s hottest blockbusters. The very pink extravaganza grossed over $1 billion in less than a month and is now the top grossing movie of 2023 in North America!

It’s official: Deadline reports that Greta Gerwig‘s “Barbie” is now the highest-grossing domestic film of 2023. This comes to the surprise of no one who’s felt the Kenergy since the film hit theaters a little over a month ago with a $162 million opening weekend.
