Spittal has seven goals and nine assists to his name this season, one of each coming against his future employers. Well boss Stuart Kettlewell was desperate to hold on to the Premiership Player of the Month for February, but the offer from Tynecastle has proved too tempting for the ex-Partick Thistle wide man.He is the third pre-contract capture for Hearts so far.
Yan Dhanda has already agreed to make the move from Ross County, while James Penrice's future switch from Livingston was reported earlier on Thursday.
With Steven Naismith;s side on course to finish third in the table and book their spot in Europe next year, the former Rangers man is tooling up for a crack on several fronts next season.Spittal was hailed as one of the best in the league by current boss Kettlewell, who credited changes off the park as a factor in the 28-year-old kicking on during his campaign.
