Birmingham City CEO Garry Cook has claimed recent results have cost Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney his job. Rooney was appointed by the Championship club in October after the Blues' board made the surprise decision to sack John Eustace while the club were sixth in the table.
Sadly for the ex-United man, performances and results have nose-dived. The 38-year-old did not taste victory until over a month into his new job when the West Midlands club beat Sheffield Wednesday.
Their next victory came in mid December at Cardiff City but this would be Rooney's last as manager.
