Strictly Come Dancing viewers said 'we don't need to be reminded' just minutes into Saturday night's show as they were distracted by a constant reference.

Next weekend will see the remaining couples head to the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom for the live BBC One show. The programme has been visiting Blackpool since the very first series in 2004 - although there wasn’t a regular yearly show at the seaside resort until 2009.

And viewers watching this week's show at home were reminded regularly that it was coming up with constant references to the town made by presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the judges and dancers. @97_Hayden posted on X, formerly Twitter,: "There should be an on screen counter of the number of times they say Blackpool" while @JRoe6691 wrote: "#Strictly didn't realise it was Blackpool next week.its not as if they have mentioned it yet READ MORE: BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans distracted by Ellie Leach as Vito Coppola in 'beautiful' moment with another co-star READ MORE: Read more of today's top stories from the Manchester Evening News @AlexPaterson0 added: "We know it's Blackpool week, next weekend, we don't need to be reminded every few minutes" while @gudrun25086 posted: "So can we guess where the show will be next week? @JustLeighT added:: "Is it Blackpool next week??

Maybe they need to remind us a few more times." Others decided to use the opporunity to have some fun - and said it would make a great drinking game. @corby_tun posted: "#Strictly Drink every time Blackpool is mentioned.
