Amy Dowden was seen fighting tears as she appeared in a pre-recorded clip on The One Show filmed during her cancer treatment.

The Strictly Come Dancing star left her co-stars, celebrity pals and fans emotional last week as she revealed she'd finished chemotherapy.

Amy went through eight rounds of chemo after being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. The 34-year-old found a lump in her right breast before going on her long-awaited honeymoon with her new husband Ben Jones.

She headed off on the celebratory holiday but continued to feel the lump and got it checked out once she returned home. She was soon told she had breast cancer and shared the news in June, having already undergone a mastectomy and reconstruction surgery.
