BBC Strictly's Anton Du Beke addresses TV appearance that sparked outrage

However, performing at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, this week, he explained why he was asked on as a guest and revealed a surprising link to the northern city.
Anton answered questions from the audience during the show as he shared stories from his legendary career in showbiz, when one member asked about the BBC panel show.
He proved he deserved his place on the show as he demonstrated his wide-ranging sporting knowledge. Even though Anton comes from Sevenoaks in Kent, the Merseyside crowd clapped when Anton revealed his passion for sports was sparked by his love for Liverpool FC when he was growing up in the 70s.
