Filming is underway for a brand new BBC comedy set in Stockport, starring Greater Manchester actress and Netflix star Aimee Lou Wood.

Daddy Issues is a six-part series from the team behind hit comedy The Inbetweeners and sitcom White Gold. It stars Aimee, who was born in Stockport and grew up in Bramhall, as party girl Gemma who lives for the weekend and loves a good night out on the town.

After joining the mile high club with a random hook-up, her life is turned upside down when she discovers she's pregnant. The only person Gemma has left in her life is her dad Malcolm, portrayed by The Walking Dead and The Long Shadow star David Morrissey.
