BBC Radio 2 is gearing up for an exciting shake-up this weekend, as it welcomes back the beloved Nick Grimshaw and introduces a familiar voice to the airwaves.
After a three-year hiatus since leaving BBC Radio 6 to host a hit podcast, Shaun Keaveny is set to fill in for Rob Beckett on the Sunday evening slot.
Zoe Ball, the station's own star presenter, shared the scoop with her audience, revealing that Shaun will be stepping in for Rob, who's reportedly taking a holiday break, according to The Sun.
Zoe was thrilled to announce on her show that Shaun, who has been busy with podcasts like 'The Line Up', BBC's 'Your Place Or Mine', and Global's 'Daily Grind' since his departure from regular radio hosting in 2021, is ready to make a comeback to his radio roots. "He is filling in for Rob, but tonight he has his first episode of the Rock Show," she said.
