BBC Breakfast fans were left stunned after they spotted a 'cheesed off' reporter grinding his teeth, thinking the cameras had cut away.

Monday's show saw Sally Nugent and Jon Kay report on the latest headlines from the BBC Breakfast sofa. At one point, they headed over to Downing Street where correspondent Nick Eardley was on hand to discuss Chancellor Jeremy Hunt's impending Autumn Statement.

The Chancellor has already stated that "taxes are going to go up" and Sally and Jon discussed what else might be said with Nick.

Nick then finished his report by saying: "That statement on Thursday is going to matter a lot to the country, the Prime Minister but also all of our finances as well." As Sally thanked him for his report, the screen split into two with Nick on the left and a lady in a different location appearing on the right.
