Fraser Bryden insists he's ready to grab his first team chance by powering boyhood heroes Ayr United up the Championship table.The 19-year-old earned a rare start at Tannadice on Saturday as Ayr were edged out by title favourites Dundee United.
Bryden did plenty to enhance his cause with his display, and was only denied a first half opener by a last ditch clearance on the line from Kevin Holt.It came hot on the heels of his Scottish Cup heroics at Peterhead, where his extra time winner sent Ayr into the fourth round and a home tie against Kelty Hearts.
Now the striker, whose Somerset contract expires at the end of this season, is looking to make a big impact leading the line as Ayr bid to climb from their current position of seventh in the league table.
Bryden told the Ayrshire Post: "It’s been quite frustrating at times and I’ve had to be patient waiting for my chance, but that’s where the reserve games have been key for me.
