Rita Ora, 33, has been criticised for undergoing an expensive scan which is meant to provide early detection for over 500 cancers and diseases.
Sharing snaps of herself having the ground-breaking, radiation-free Prenuvo scan done, the 33 year old Don’t Think Twice singer - whose mum previously fought breast cancer - said as a result of her mother’s illness she believes in 'doing anything she can' to stay healthy. “'With my mum's history of breast cancer, being proactive and not reactive with physical health has alway been so important to me," she wrote. 'I'm a huge believer in doing anything I can to keep myself healthy and learn about my body.
So recently I went to @prenuvo to get a full body scan." But some fans were not too happy at The Masked Singer judge choosing to promote a high-tech MRI scan which costs $2,499 - meaning it is one the 'vast majority of people can't afford'.
Rita, who is married to New Zealand-born film director Taika Waititi continued in her post: “I was so impressed by the incredible technology and the Prenuvo doctors who talked me through my results, and advised me on what i can do to take care of myself better. “I was walked through every step with support and guidance.Thank you so much guys.
