Ashley Cain thanks fans for support as he promises to 'honour my daughter in heaven'
ok.co.ukIt’s been an emotional few days for footballing star Ashley Cain this week, as he safely welcomed a baby boy with his girlfriend, just two years on since the tragic loss of his daughter Azaylia.
Naturally, the new arrival sparked quite a reaction from fans, with his sons name in particular having drawn the ire of many critics as his son, Aliyas Diamond Cain, shared the exact same initials as his late daughter, who tragically died of Leukaemia back in 2021.
Despite the backlash from his followers however, Ashley has also been inundated with plenty of messages of support too, something he even went on to thank his fans for.
In a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Friday evening, Ashley wrote: “A heartfelt thank you to you all for the love, support and kind messages I’ve received over the last few days. “It has been a turbulent time as you can imagine.
