Armed police swarm scheme after man, 36, shot dead
dailyrecord.co.ukPolice are on the hunt for a killer gunman after a man was shot dead. Armed police swooped on a residential area after the 36-year-old was struck this afternoon.He was rushed to hospital as police launched a probe into the shooting, and he passed away in hospital this evening.
Officers say they "will never rest" and that they have a "clear message" for anyone involved in "serious organised crime".Officers placed a cordon around the area in question as they began to investigate the attack.
Pictures from the scene show uniformed officers within the cordon, which covered two lanes of a road.Police vehicles with their lights activated were also seen within the cordon, while a number of officers carried out police work, and several bystanders looked on.
Residents spoke of their shock at the gangland attack, which took place around 6.35pm, with one evening saying they had considered leaving the area due to violence.
