Ant McPartlin suffers bloody injury thanks to Stephen Mulhern as Saturday Night Takeaway joke goes wrong
ok.co.ukAs the last episode of Saturday Night Takeaway hit our screens for the final time, the much loved Saturday staple brought an added dose of drama to the proceedings when show host Ant McPartlin suffered a bloody injury live on air.
The unexpected injury first came to light as Ant was spotted wiping blood from his face following the conclusion of the final Ant vs Dec segment, in which the Geordie duo had taken on a penalty shootout to determine the ultimate champion of champions to end the show.
During the episode, Ant could be seen dressed up in a red football kit while Declan Donnelly sported an identical blue uniform for the segment, as they took on a pro goalie to try and secure victory.
With the presenters competing, Stephen Mulhern took over the presenting duties while dressed as a giant trophy, until after a hard fought fight, Dec was crowned the winner.
