An American YouTuber who spent a fortnight touring the UK has shared four unexpected things that left him stunned.JPS runs the ItsJps YouTube channel where he reacts to various UK-themed videos, including music, football chants, British police, and classic TV.He recently returned from his second trip to the UK and had some surprising insights to share. In his video, JPS stated: "Today, I'm going to be talking about some of the shocks I experienced from visiting the UK for the second time."I spent two weeks in Germany prior to spending two weeks in Britain, where I went around England and a bit of Scotland and saw Britain for the second time so there were a lot of things I experienced that I wasn't expecting."JPS expressed his admiration for UK trains "this time around", noting how it was "super easy" to find the correct platform at each station.

He claimed trains were "never delayed" by more than one to two minutes. He said: "If I lived in Britain, I felt like...especially if I lived in a city, a car may not be necessary, and that brings me to my second point, which is the compactness of cities and city centres."The YouTuber explained that he didn't require public transport in "almost any" of the cities he visited, with walking an "adequate" solution and even "enjoyable" as everything was so "compact".

He added centres were "strategically placed".Britain's pubs are renowned globally, and JPS was equally taken with them. It's not just the opportunity to savour a cold pint in a snug setting that sets them apart, but also their role as community "focal" points. He remarked: "The pub is a place you can just go and talk to your neighbour, get to know your neighbour and just enjoy a pint.
