Amazon In Talks To Sell MGM Alternative, Production Group Behind ‘The Voice’ & ‘Vanderpump Rules’

The unit is behind shows such as NBC’s The Voice, CBS’ Survivor, ABC’s Shark Tank and Fox’s Beat Shazam and also incorporates two production companies – Evolution Media, which produces shows including Bravo hit reality series Vanderpump Rules and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Big Fish Entertainment, the company behind Reelz’s On Patrol: Live.
Deadline understands that the tech giant has received a number of proposals from potential buyers. There was understood to be one inquiry towards the end of last year as well as a more recent approach, which has sparked renewed talks over a deal.
It’s not certain that Amazon will sell the division as a deal might not materialize. Insiders said that the division, which is also behind upcoming titles including Travis Kelce-fronted Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?
