A knifeman ordered a terrified Co-op worker to let him leave the store with a basket of shopping - police want to speak to this man

Wigan. The incident happened at the Co-op store on Church Street in Orrell at around 11.30am on Sunday (September 20).The man threatened the staff member with a knife and demanded to leave the store with a basket full of shopping.Police said the knife was a 'large kitchen knife' with a black handle.He then ran from the scene before getting into a dark blue Ford Focus.A woman was waiting for him in the vehicle.

The Co-op worker was uninjured but was left shaken by the ordeal, police said. Officers have now released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to following the robbery.
