Parents and children can enjoy the 'Christmas Experience' hosted by the Caingorm Reindeer Herd - Britain's only Reindeer reserve.The seasonal event is the perfect alternative for those who can't take part in the standard Hill Trips, which grants punters access to a guided tour to view the reindeer at Glenmore Forest Park in Aviemore.
As Scottish temperatures continue to plummet, families can instead opt for the festive event held at the park's paddocks, which is adorned in decorations and will host a Christmas quiz as well as a visit from Santa.A statement on the Cairnrgorm Reindeer Herd website read: "On December weekends in the run up to Christmas, our paddocks are filled with tinsel and decorations, kids can complete a festive quiz (please bring a pen!), and Santa himself comes to visit.
Santa can be seen in his special hut (occasionally he even has chocolates to hand out!)."The paddocks are perfect for children and for visitors who are unable to go on the Hill Trip.
