World championship titles for East Kilbride dance school

A talented troupe of young East Kilbride street dancers are on a high after winning two world titles.DP Studio, who are based in the Kelvin Industrial Estate, travelled to Blackpool to compete in the United Dance Organisation (UDO) World Street Dance Championships at the Winter Gardens.Eight thousand dancers representing over 40 countries across the globe took part in the prestigious UDO annual event in England.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

They came third in the British competition and second place in the Scottish championships this season.And the local dance school scored more success with dance duo Holly Entwistle and Amelia Grace being named world champions in under-10 advance.DP Studio owner Rachel Smith has been dancing since she was three and after training at dance college went to the Kelvin studio which has been up and running in the town for 10 years.She said: "It has been
